Pics From Matt's Birthday Bash
BT's Place is always fun to play though we never really know when we are going to go on. It is a great place to expose the younger generation to Jazz as well as exposing us to different Sacramento artists. Flip the Switch was the group that played with us on that night and their music was definitely energetic. It was also good to see Josh Goodman again - What Up Josh! All and all it was a pretty good night and FTS - we had fun.
This gig was also significant because it was the return of bass player Tommy Lee. We missed him while he was in Mexico and it is good to have him back. Tommy played like there was no tomorrow and didn't miss a beat with all of that time off. Also guitar player Kyle Hernandez sat in as a last minute favor and he did a great job. Kyle is a student of Steve Homan and is currently attending Sacramento State University. If you were at the concert you saw first hand Kyle's skills - he did not even practice with us. For those who missed it look out for Kyle and the things that he is doing. Kyle, the group hopes we play together again. Thanks. |

Chris Cotta Sitting In
Chris Cotta also sat in on Trombone for a solo version of Stella By Starlight. Chris did a very good job with it. The band hopes that we we can do that again.

And the Beat Goes On...
With Matt Brown and Chris Cotta how could it not? |

Woops...
Woops... Matt fell into 2 beautiful women. Happy Birthday! |
I think we caught Alan off guard
This is Alan Eversole. Alan deployed October 6th for his second trip in Iraq. Alan here looks like a deer in headlights but Alan is much more hardcore that that. Good Luck in Iraq and come back alive. |

Matt Taking a Break with an Old Friend - Grant White
Ok. This man right next to me is Grant White. I haven't seen this guy in nearly two years. I love this guy. He lives in Santa Clara so we don't necessarily bump into him around town. Good to see you Grant. |

Matt Brown is One Happy Guy
Just look at that smile! If it wasn't for music the guy could be a model for Calvin Klien or something. |
Kyle Hernandez
My God! This guy was good! Thank you Kyle for sitting in with us. We hope we can do this again. You know the number if you need one of us to play too. |

Miles Davis... I mean Eric Johnson
Eric almost has the Miles Davis trumpet pose down. Eric had a solid night out. Good job man! |
He's Back...
It was great to have Tommy Lee back. Eventually the plan is to get another bassist (preferably standup) and move Tommy to the keys. Yes, it is true tommy is just as masterful on the keys as he is the bass. |

Matt Almeida
Same ol gimmicks. Look everyone he can play a saxophone without the mouthpiece. Matt got very very drunk after this and why? Because it was his 21st Birthday! Thank You all who came out and watched us play. Also thank you to all the people who bought Matt drinks later in the evening. |
Eric, Tommy, and Kyle were holding down the sounds.
